- 効率重視の利己的な優先的選択とはある意味真逆な、協調的な(無理のない数人程度の)仲介によって、最適な頑健性を持つ玉葱状構造が創発できる
- さらに、組織論的に重要な遠距離交際は仲介を通じて実現すると解釈でき、それによって(複数のループから生じる)バイパスが強化され結果的に頑健性(攻撃耐性)が向上する
- 一方、最適なループ強化は計算量の観点から手に負えない組合せ問題に属するが、その近似解を仲介に基づくネット成長で獲得できる
